Al-Shabaab claims responsibility for an attack in Garissa.

3 school teachers were killed on Monday morning when armed men attacked Kamuuda location about 35 km east of Garissa town. 
according to a statement from the leadership of Alshabaab, their fighters also torched a Kenyan police station and have stolen weapons and ammunitions. 
according to the statement, all the 3 teachers were non- somalis

Increased terror attacks in the region have prompted leaders from North Eastern Kenya to take action. Political leaders from Northern Kenya have convened in Garissa town on Monday 20th January 2020 to address the increasing cross border attacks by Al-Shabaab.  National assembly majority leader Adan Duale reiterated that the government needs to send Special Forces to those areas which are prone to attacks by the Somalia based terror group.
