Al-Shabaab claims responsibility for an attack in Garissa.

3 school teachers were killed on Monday morning when armed men attacked Kamuuda location about 35 km east of Garissa town. 
according to a statement from the leadership of Alshabaab, their fighters also torched a Kenyan police station and have stolen weapons and ammunitions. 
according to the statement, all the 3 teachers were non- somalis

Political leaders from Northern Kenya have convened in Garissa town on Monday 20th January 2020 to address the increasing cross border attacks by Al-Shabaab.  National assembly majority leader Adan Duale reiterated that the government needs to send Special Forces to those areas which are prone to attacks by the Somalia based terror group.
